Liquid Shredder started with one clear goal: make boards that help more people learn to surf with confidence. From day one, we focused on soft-tops that are durable enough for heavy use and easy enough for anyone to ride. Over the last decade, that focus hasn’t changed; our boards are built to last, built to teach fast, and built to keep the stoke high.
Brand Story
Liquid Shredder was founded in 1999 by lifelong waterman Scott McClain, who set out to build a safer, high-performing board for his kids. Partnering with a Peruvian surfer, he combined innovative foam technology with performance design — creating the original soft-top surfboard that looked and rode like fiberglass.
Now owned and operated by Cliff, Will, and Ben Skudin, Liquid Shredder continues Scott’s legacy with the same dedication to performance, durability, and accessibility. From the EZ Slider’s signature no-pearl rocker to the Storm Born’s epoxy-infused build, our boards are made to perform in real surf, by real surfers — season after season.
